Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information Postiz processes, why it is used, how platform credentials are handled, and how to contact us about privacy requests.

Effective date: June 12, 2026

1. Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how Postiz collects, uses, stores, and protects information when you use the website and service.

Postiz is designed for social media management workflows, including account connection, media management, publishing, and publication history.

2. Information we collect

We may collect account information such as email address, profile details, authentication identifiers, preferences, and time zone.

We may process connected social account metadata, platform account identifiers, usernames, avatars, OAuth scopes, access tokens, refresh tokens, and token expiry information needed to operate integrations.

We may process content and media you upload, publish, or store in the service, including files, captions, publishing targets, attempt history, external post identifiers, platform error messages, and related diagnostics.

We may collect technical information such as logs, device/browser details, IP-derived approximate location, usage events, errors, and security telemetry.

3. How we use information

We use information to authenticate users, provide the product, connect social platforms, upload and retrieve media, publish content at your direction, record outcomes, troubleshoot errors, and protect the service.

We may also use aggregated or de-identified information to understand reliability, improve product design, and maintain security.

4. OAuth tokens and platform credentials

Postiz stores sensitive OAuth tokens and platform credentials in encrypted form where technically supported by the service architecture.

These credentials are used only to connect accounts, refresh access, and perform actions that you request, such as publishing content to a selected platform account.

5. Sharing and third parties

We share information with third-party social platforms only as needed to authenticate, connect accounts, upload media, publish content, retrieve account metadata, or comply with platform API requirements.

We may use infrastructure, database, hosting, storage, authentication, analytics, payment, or support providers to operate the service. These providers process information under their own contractual and legal obligations.

We may disclose information where required by law, to protect rights and safety, to prevent abuse, or in connection with a business transaction such as a merger, acquisition, or asset transfer.

6. Cookies and similar technologies

The website and service may use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies for authentication, session management, security, preferences, analytics, and product functionality.

Browser settings may allow you to block or delete cookies, but some service features may stop working if required cookies or storage are disabled.

7. Data retention

We retain information for as long as needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, maintain security, and support operational records.

Content published to third-party platforms may remain available on those platforms according to their policies even if removed from Postiz.

8. Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards intended to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration.

No online service can guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for protecting your account credentials and connected platform accounts.

9. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, export, restrict, or object to certain processing of personal information.
